Hi! My name is Lori. I’m the creator of The Melted Crayon. I am a mom, teacher, wife, creator, thinker & small business owner. I’ve created this blog to share crafts, cooking, & teaching ideas mixed with a few laughs & everyday life. I don’t claim to be an expert on anything, but rather a humble learner of living. I recently hit the half century mark, which catapulted me into the reality that life truly is short! It’s time to start acting on the things that I have been putting off. This blog being one of them. I’m not special nor do I have any secrets to living a longer or richer life. I represent the imperfect, the regular, and the average person. I live in a rural mid-western state in United States where the winters are ridiculously long and cold and the summer aren’t nearly long enough. I have 3 grown children that I feel very blessed to have been given and a super supportive hubby and partner. I have experienced many wonderful blessings, as well as, my share of painful struggles.
